Best underwater settings for the Olympus TG-5 and TG-6

Best underwater settings for the Olympus TG-5 and TG-6
The Olympus TG-5 and TG-6 are two of the most popular compact cameras currently on the market for underwater photographers. They are notable for their amazing durability, waterproofing down to 50 ft without a housing, beautiful image quality, and impressive macro capability. Because the TG-6 was a somewhat superficial upgrade from the TG-5, there are relatively few differences between the cameras.

The GoPro takes amazing underwater macro video! Tips and tricks for capturing small critters with just a GoPro, some lights, a macro lens, and some patience...
Note from the Editor-in-Chief: A Gopro is more versatile than one might think for underwater video, considering the size and simplicity of a GoPro. With so many cool critters underwater being smaller than the size of an apple, capturing video of macro critters is a top priority for many divers. The GoPro is an excellent tool for this if you know how to utilize its fullest potential.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ever since she can remember, Lisa has been fascinated by the ocean and its inhabitants. Born and raised in the middle of the prairies, though, she mostly had to make do with books and movies to satisfy her curiosity. In 2011, she got her open water certification in Mozambique. In 2018, Lisa and her fiance Bryan quit their jobs to travel for a year, and did as much diving as possible along the way (in French Polynesia, Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines). During this time, Lisa started playing around with taking GoPro video, and has enjoyed capturing the wonderful creatures they have met on their dives. Sony a6400 4K underwater video featuring marine life of the Pacific Northwest
When I first entered the chilly waters of Whidbey Island, Washington, Sony a6400 in hand, I had one mission above all else – to capture some 4K underwater video. I have to admit, I’m no Spielberg when it comes to videography. But the specs sheet for the Sony a6400 make it one of the top cameras for underwater video, and I was determined to see what I could do. I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed.
